The Tamil Nadu government has committed an impressive Rs 47,248 crore to the Agricultural Department in its Interim Budget for 2026-27, sustaining its focus on modernizing the sector and supporting farmers' welfare, according to Minister MRK Panneerselvam.

Presenting the robust plan in the State Assembly, Panneerselvam highlighted the government's ongoing commitment, following a previous allocation of Rs 45,661 crore for 2025-26.
