The Center of Policy Research and Governance's Director, Dr. Ramanand, lauded the AI Impact Summit on Tuesday, emphasizing its significance in portraying India's commitment to democratizing AI and technology. Speaking to ANI, he noted the grandeur of the summit, hinting at India's burgeoning influence on the global stage.

This year marks the first time the AI Summit is held in India, following its inception in France and subsequent European meetings. With global expectations on India, the summit represents the most extensive AI gathering ever organized. Dr. Ramanand stressed its inclusive invitation list, featuring participants from all over the world, aiming to highlight India's role in the democratic dispersion of AI technologies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam on Monday, solidifying India's pledge to responsible and inclusive AI progress. As the first global AI summit hosted in the Global South, it boasts participation from over 20 heads of state, 60 governmental ministers, and 500 global AI leaders. The summit aims to bridge AI discussions into tangible growth via the IndiaAI Mission and Digital India initiative, with PM Modi's address setting the agenda for global collaboration.
