Silent Zone Declared in Dehradun for President Murmu's Visit

Ahead of President Droupadi Murmu's visit to Dehradun, the district administration has designated areas near her residence as a 'Silent Zone'. The order is in effect from November 2 to November 3. Murmu's itinerary includes events in Uttarakhand, Nainital, and her well-wishes for several Indian states on their Formation Day.

The Dehradun District Administration has announced a 'Silent Zone' around President Droupadi Murmu's residence ahead of her visit, enforcing noise restrictions from 10 a.m. on November 2 to one hour after her departure on November 3.

This encompasses the area along Rajpur Road from Brahmkamal Chowk through Rashtrapati Niketan, including up to 100 metres around the Mussoorie Diversion and 300 metres around the Vidhan Sabha, under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). President Murmu's visit to Uttarakhand runs from November 2 to 4.

On November 2, she will attend the University of Patanjali's convocation in Haridwar and on November 3, she is scheduled to address the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, celebrating the state's silver jubilee. President Murmu will also attend a commemorative event for the Raj Bhavan's 125th anniversary in Nainital and visit the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram at Kainchi Dham on November 4, before leaving Uttarakhand.

Additionally, President Murmu extended her Formation Day greetings to Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Puducherry. She acknowledged their significant contributions to India's development and wished for their continued success and welfare through a message on social media platform X.
