The Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) has made a significant stride in the realm of legal excellence with the inauguration of its new office and Dispute Resolution Centre located at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, Delhi. Under the stewardship of President Lalit Bhasin, the event took place in the presence of key figures such as Attorney General for India R. Venkataramani and philanthropist Bina Modi. This new Centre aims to be a cutting-edge hub for legal innovation, research, education, and provides accessible paths to justice through arbitration, mediation, and online dispute resolution.

Attorney General Venkataramani applauded the vision of SILF at the event, expressing particular appreciation for contributions made by the late Arun Jaitley. He noted that the Centre represents a new chapter in India's legal fraternity journey, emphasizing ongoing collaboration, education, and dispute resolution as integral components to India’s standing in the global legal context. Venkataramani also highlighted the transforming role of law firms and schools in reshaping the landscape of legal education and practices within the country.

Lalit Bhasin, President of SILF, spoke of the Centre as a combination of legal excellence and social duty. He noted that it embodies the dual goals of excellence and service through initiatives like arbitration and pro bono dispute resolution. Dr. Bina Modi, in her speech, linked the new facility to progress and knowledge, reflecting her late husband K.K. Modi's legacy of valuing education. The gathering also paid homage to Arun Jaitley, recognizing his foundational contributions to the Indian legal fraternity. The event was attended by notable legal dignitaries including V. Lakshmikumaran, Ravi Nath, and others.
