Union Minister and BJP chief JP Nadda has called upon party members in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to participate actively in rescue and relief operations as Cyclone Montha draws closer to the Andhra Pradesh coast near Kakinada. He emphasized collaborative efforts with local authorities to distribute relief and medical supplies while promoting public awareness regarding cleanliness.

Nadda urged party workers to be ready at every booth level to guarantee the safety and assist with rescue efforts in cyclone-hit areas. The Andhra Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, is on high alert as Severe Cyclonic Storm Montha approaches. The storm is expected to make landfall with winds reaching speeds of 90-110 kmph, accompanied by torrential rainfall.

Chief Minister Naidu convened a monitoring session at the Real Time Governance Centre and has been in touch with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has vowed full support from the Union Government. Naidu stresses the importance of constant cyclone tracking and the implementation of risk-free strategies, especially for coastal zones. Meanwhile, Disaster Management Minister Nara Lokesh is overseeing emergency preparedness, ensuring communications and operations remain active across districts.
