The Indian mission in Riyadh has confirmed that the first contingent of Indian pilgrims has landed in Saudi Arabia for the annual Haj pilgrimage. Ambassador Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, alongside Consul General Fahad Suri, and local Saudi officials, were present to greet the pilgrims at Madinah Airport.

Dr. Khan inspected the arranged facilities at the airport, commending the efforts of Indian community volunteers assisting the pilgrims. The Indian Embassy extended best wishes for a smooth and spiritually fulfilling experience for all participating in this year’s pilgrimage.

In preparation for the pilgrimage, Khan visited the Indian Haj Pilgrims Office and Haj Clinic, reviewing arrangements made for the participants. According to the Ministry of Minority Affairs, 175,025 pilgrims are anticipated this year, with improved hotel-style accommodations available in Makkah.
