Reviving Ancient Wisdom: Dattareya Hosabale's Call for Education Reform

At the GSIF THRIVE-2026 summit, RSS general secretary Dattareya Hosabale called for educational reforms to integrate scientific inquiry with spirituality, aiming to reduce superstitions. He emphasized that educational curriculums should convey ancient scientific advancements to address societal inequalities.

Hosabale highlighted that, unlike the historical conflict between religion and science in the West, Indian traditions see a harmonious relationship between spiritual practice and scientific inquiry. He stressed that this intellectual tradition is essential for civilizational growth and that education systems should reflect this interconnectedness.

Governments, according to Hosabale, need to address prejudices and promote scientific advancements through education to ensure equitable economic growth and enhance the quality of life. He underscored the challenge of distinguishing genuine scientific inquiry from superstition and advocated for reviving the knowledge systems that incorporate past scientific inquiries.
