Tragedy at Ganga Ghat: Four Children Feared Drowned

Tragedy struck at Makhdumpur Ganga ghat in Hastinapur as four children are feared drowned while bathing in the river, with one rescued by a local resident. The children, attending a funeral with their families, were swept away by the strong current.
Local authorities, including Senior Superintendent of Police Avinash Pandey, stated that the children were caught by the current around 200 meters from where their families were performing last rites. A man named Rahul from Jalalpur managed to save one child, but efforts continue to find the others.
A coordinated search operation involving the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the local administration, and the forest department is underway. Despite search efforts, the four children remain missing, with operations ongoing into the late evening.
