WIF India Launches Scholarship for Women Producers at Cannes
Women in Film India, in collaboration with impACT Lab, has announced a scholarship for emerging Indian women producers to participate in the impACT Lab programme at the Cannes Film Festival's Marché du Film. The programme offers hybrid workshops and access to industry networking events to advance gender equity in film.

Women in Film India (WIF India) has unveiled a significant scholarship initiative aimed at bolstering the presence of emerging women producers from India in global cinema. The selected participants will join the impACT Lab programme during the Cannes Film Festival, held in conjunction with Marché du Film.
The initiative is tailored for India-based female producers with a minimum of two short films under their belt, who are in the process of developing their first feature film. Those selected will undergo a hybrid preparation programme starting with online workshops in April and May, followed by onsite activities in Cannes from May 13 to 18.
The movement signifies WIF India's continuous efforts since its inaugural presence at Cannes in 2025, reinforcing its commitment to providing real-world opportunities and access to international platforms for women in film. These initiatives are anticipated to cultivate sustainable production practices and facilitate impactful storytelling on a global stage.
