Mumbai's ATLAS SkillTech University has inaugurated the 'NextGen Women in STEM Scholarship,' aiming to bolster young women's presence in technology and engineering fields. Launched by Dr. Manju Lodha, the scholarship provides financial support to 100 meritorious students, fostering the next wave of female technologists on International Women's Day.
Structured into three merit-based categories, the scholarship distributes annual awards ranging from ₹1,00,000 to ₹3,50,000, contingent on students' Class 12 PCM scores. In addition, the program affords recipients mentorship, advanced laboratory access, research opportunities, and internships, nurturing comprehensive growth and innovation.
Dr. Manju Lodha emphasized the societal impact of investing in women's education, while Dr. Indu Shahani, the university's Founding President and Chancellor, highlighted the initiative's goal of encouraging young women in STEM careers. This scholarship is essential for enhancing women's role in India's evolving technology sector.
