Born in Nadiad, Gujarat in 1875, Patel was a significant figure in India's fight for independence, lauded for binding the diverse princely states into a consolidated nation. President Murmu emphasized his enduring dedication and nationalistic spirit as a beacon of inspiration for all citizens.
A floral tribute was offered at Sardar Patel Chowk by President Murmu, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena, and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. The event reminded the nation of Patel's indomitable courage and his legacy as the 'Iron Man of India.'
