The Stray Cats have announced the cancellation of their fall United States tour following band member Brian Setzer's battle with a "serious illness." Setzer revealed his heartbreaking decision in a statement, expressing his inability to perform and his regret over canceling the tour. He acknowledged the impact on fans and colleagues and shared his disappointment in missing the chance to be on stage with his bandmates.

Earlier this year, Setzer disclosed his struggle with an autoimmune disorder that severely impairs his ability to play the guitar. "Towards the end of the last Stray Cats tour, I noticed my hands were cramping," he shared on social media. Despite experiencing no pain, he described his condition as similar to trying to play with gloves on.

The Stray Cats were set to embark on their fall tour, initially scheduled to begin last weekend in Michigan and Illinois. The trio had planned performances across the country, with the tour expected to conclude in Wheatland, California, on September 23. However, due to Setzer's health issues, the band was forced to cancel all dates.
