The renowned Pushkar Cattle Fair in Rajasthan is set to dazzle visitors with elite livestock, including a horse priced at Rs 15 crore and a buffalo valued at Rs 23 crore. Among the stars is Shahbaz, a Marwari stallion owned by Chandigarh-based Gary Gill, capturing the admiration of many.
This year, the fair promises enhanced security and safety as over 2,000 police officers will oversee the week-long event starting October 30. Veterinary teams are on 24-hour duty to ensure the health and safety of the animals, with digitized records in place for transparency.
Not just a trading hub, the fair also hosts competitions like best milk producer and best horse breed, alongside showcasing unique animals such as a cow standing just 16 inches tall. Rajasthan's Animal Husbandry Department has implemented thorough monitoring to manage the risks at this vibrant gathering.
