Star Power: Bomb Threats Shake Tamil Nadu's A-list
The Tamil Nadu police have reported receiving bomb threat emails targeting residences of actors Rajinikanth and Dhanush. Despite the serious nature of threats, both actors declined bomb squad assistance. Officials are working with cyber police to trace the emails but have made no significant progress yet.

The Tamil Nadu police disclosed bomb threat emails targeting the residences of top actors Rajinikanth and Dhanush. The emails, addressed to the state Director General of Police, were purportedly received on the morning of October 27.
Teynampet police, having jurisdiction over the actors' residences, reported that Rajinikanth's home received the first threat early at 8:30 am. However, the actor's team declined help from the bomb squad. A second threat followed at 6:30 pm, which was again met with the same refusal.
Actor Dhanush also received an identical threat on the same day, choosing not to involve the authorities further. Meanwhile, cyber crime officials are actively working to trace these alarming emails, although progress remains stalled.
