IIT Madras Professors Shine in Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar 2025 Honors

Three distinguished professors from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras have been honored with the Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar 2025, marking a significant achievement in India's scientific community. This award stands as the nation's highest recognition for outstanding contributions by scientists, technologists, and innovators.

From advancing clean water technologies to pioneering innovations in healthcare and cryptography, the awardees have made significant strides in their respective fields. Prof Thalappil Pradeep, recognized under the Vigyan Shri category, has been noted for his impactful work in clean water solutions and advanced materials. Prof Mohanasankar Sivaprakasam and Prof Shweta Prem Agrawal have both been acknowledged with the Vigyan Yuva – Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award for their contributions in healthcare technology and cryptography, respectively.
