From Thane to the Stars: Sujata Madke's Journey to ISRO

Maharashtra's Transport Minister, Pratap Sarnaik, recently honored Sujata Ramchandra Madke, an assistant motor vehicle inspector, for her prestigious appointment as a scientist with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Emphasizing that success has no shortcuts, Sarnaik praised Madke for her determination and hard work, attributing her achievements to her dedication and belief in her dreams. Madke's selection is celebrated as a significant accomplishment by the entire transport department.

Hailing from Shirgaon in Shahapur taluka of Thane district, Madke joined ISRO in May 2025 after completing her education in mechanical engineering and gaining experience as a research engineer at IIT Kharagpur. Her story serves as an inspiring example of perseverance and the pursuit of excellence.
