Vigilance in the Age of Ramayana: Yogi Adityanath's Vijayadashami Address

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in his Vijayadashami address, drew comparisons between the Ramayana characters and contemporary social evils, urging vigilance among the public. Speaking in Gorakhpur, he marked the occasion as the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh celebrates its centenary year.

The Chief Minister noted that while the names and circumstances have evolved since the eras of Ramayana and Mahabharata, the underlying negative characters continue to exist today. He warned against those who divide society based on caste and untouchability, likening them to demons like Tadaka and Surpanakha.

Adityanath commended the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's century-long contributions to health and education, and emphasized Sanatan Dharma as a universal guarantee for welfare. He acclaimed the collective resolve and unity that led to milestones like the Ram temple, aiming for a convergence of India's heritage and progress.
