The Higher Education Department's directive insists colleges and universities adhere to the provisions of the Women at Workplace Act, with potential penalties for non-compliance.
Measures include proper lighting, CCTV installations, secure hostels, and reliable complaint mechanisms, with strict monitoring by Regional Directors of Education.
