Youth Unemployment Surges in China
In March, China's urban unemployment rate for under-30s rose. Data shows a notable increase among 16-24 year-olds, climbing to 16.9% from 16.1%, and among 25-29 year-olds, rising to 7.7% from 7.2%. The joblessness rate for the 30-59 segment also inched up slightly.

In March, the jobless rate for Chinese urban youth under 30, excluding college students, saw a concerning rise, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
The unemployment rate among the 16-to-24 age group spiked to 16.9% from 16.1% the previous month, halting a downward trend that had begun last September.
Joblessness for the 25-29 age group increased to 7.7% from 7.2% in February, while the 30-59 age bracket saw a slight rise to 4.3% from 4.2% a month earlier.
