The IncluEd Shiksha Samvaad, a pivotal event in New Delhi, addressed practical solutions for inclusive education, focusing on real classroom integration for Children With Special Needs (CWSN). The event moved beyond dialogue to action by introducing the Micro Improvement Project and its Compendium, a guide featuring 50 adaptable practices from schools across six cities.

With over 125 participants, including educators, policymakers, and civil society representatives, the event highlighted existing challenges. These include policy gaps and gender disparities, with only 57% of enrolled CWSN being girls. Notably, just 12% of CWSN progress from Grade 1 to Grade 12, emphasizing the urgency of belonging over mere enrolment.

Speakers like Khushboo Awasthi and Kruti Bharucha stressed that inclusive education should not burden students but be driven by systems evolving to meet diverse needs. The event also featured interactive workshops, showcasing the importance of making inclusion actionable. The initiative aims for systemic shifts propelled by small, intentional changes in daily educational practices.
