Assault Incident Sparks Controversy at Kisan Degree College

A student activist incident has stirred controversy at Kisan Degree College in Bahraich district. Vimal Sharma, known for protesting the UGC Bill 2026, was assaulted by a group of youths while en route to campus.
The attack against Vimal, who hails from Indanapur village, led to an FIR against several individuals, including six named and seven unidentified suspects. According to police reports, Vimal was the target of a deliberate and life-threatening attack as he attempted to collect his marksheet.
Station House Officer Daddan Singh stated that the investigation is ongoing, with no arrests currently made. Vimal has received medical attention, and his health is stable.
