Thane Schools Boost Security with CCTV Initiative
In Maharashtra's Thane district, 524 Zilla Parishad schools have installed CCTV systems to enhance student safety, with the remaining installations to be completed by April. Led by CEO Ranjit Yadav, the initiative aims to create a safer school environment. The District Planning Committee has also approved further installations for 2025-26.

The administration in Maharashtra's Thane district is prioritizing student safety by installing CCTV systems in 524 Zilla Parishad schools, with an additional 805 installations slated for completion by April, according to an official.
Spearheaded by Chief Executive Officer Ranjit Yadav, the initiative aims to foster a safer and more transparent learning environment across the district. Education Officer (Primary) Balasaheb Rakshe reported that the undertaking is progressing with urgency, ensuring the safety of students.
Furthermore, the District Planning Committee has sanctioned additional installations for the 2025-26 financial year. The work in Murbad and Shahapur regions is on track to be operational by March and April, respectively, enhancing security measures on school premises.
