The Delhi government is actively promoting collaborations between its schools and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) along with corporate social responsibility (CSR) entities through the use of the Vidyanjali portal. This portal, an initiative of the Union government, is aimed at fostering community participation in education.
The Directorate of Education (DoE) has issued a circular indicating that this strategy is consistent with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The NEP underscores volunteerism and collaborative efforts as essential components for transforming India's education system.
The DoE has clarified that Delhi's government and aided schools can benefit from the services of NGOs and CSR partners via the Vidyanjali portal. The portal features an 'adopt-a-school' module, which facilitates formal collaborations for sustained support and resource augmentation, without compromising student privacy.
