In a significant boost to India's manufacturing sector, Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider, has unveiled its first Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing laboratory in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The state-of-the-art facility marks a pivotal step for electronics self-reliance and aligns with global market standards.

The newly launched lab, situated in Bengaluru's Peenya industrial hub, spans over 11,000 square feet and features a three-metre semi-anechoic chamber, allowing comprehensive EMC and EMI testing. With capabilities up to 40 GHz for Radiated Spurious Emission (RSE), it sets a benchmark in India for Immunity Testing, meeting the burgeoning demand across sectors like medical, industrial, and household appliances.

Ajay Kapoor, Intertek's Regional Managing Director for South Asia, emphasized the lab's role in aiding Indian manufacturers to reach global compliance effortlessly. Sunny Rai, President of Electrical, Connected World, Transportation Technologies, highlighted the expansion's strategic alignment with the nation's manufacturing aspirations, promising faster certification processes underpinned by local expertise and global reach.
