In the early hours of Monday, tragedy struck on NH 2 in Jharkhand's Hazaribag district as a truck plunged into a 50-foot deep ditch, resulting in the death of the truck driver.
Police reported that the driver, identified as Rahul Thakur from Rajasthan, lost control of the vehicle loaded with iron rods while traveling from Kolkata to Rajasthan.
The truck's helper, Kishan Ram Meena, was severely injured in the incident and has been hospitalized. This mishap highlights the critical need for caution on highways.
