Kochi Metro celebrated World Public Transport Day with various activities aimed at underscoring the importance of efficient public transportation systems. KMRL Managing Director Loknath Behera highlighted the transformative role of the city's integrated transport solutions during his speech.
The event was conducted at the High Court Terminal Complex, featuring senior officials from KMRL and Kochi Water Metro. Kochi's unique mix of metro trains, Water Metro boats, and electric feeder buses serves as a model for urban transport efficiency.
Various initiatives accompanied the celebrations, including the distribution of promotional keychains and cards, as well as a public transport quiz competition that offered prizes to participants.
