Record Toll Collection: Nagpur-Mumbai Expressway Sees Unprecedented Vehicle Surge

The Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Expressway experienced a surge in traffic in the fiscal year 2025-26, with an impressive 1.55 crore vehicles using the infrastructure and generating toll revenues of Rs 1240.04 crore, according to official sources. This represents a notable increase of Rs 499.91 crore compared to the previous fiscal year.

This 701 km access-controlled corridor, which services ten districts, surpassed the one-thousand-crore mark for toll collection for the first time in its history, reflecting significant development since its partial opening.

The expressway's evolution has been remarkable since 2022-23 when 13.59 lakh vehicles paid a toll of Rs 106.41 crore within just four months. The milestone of one crore vehicles was achieved in 2024-25, and total vehicles have reached 3.44 crore, contributing to a cumulative toll of Rs 2660 crore to date, according to the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation.
