VinFast Accelerates into Indian Market with Electric Innovations
VinFast is solidifying its foothold in India with plans to offer a variety of electric vehicles, including a seven-seater MPV and electric scooters. The company aims to launch two models annually and expand its retail network. Production is set at 50,000 units per year from its Tamil Nadu plant.

Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast is making significant inroads into the Indian market, promising a range of products to cater to diverse consumer needs. In a bold move, the company introduced its VF MPV 7, a premium electric multi-purpose vehicle priced at Rs 24.49 lakh.
The vehicle, geared towards modern Indian families, marks VinFast's foray into a new segment while reiterating its commitment to the Indian audience. VinFast India CEO Tapan Ghosh emphasized the brand's intent to diversify its offerings with plans to launch two new models every year. The company will also introduce electric scooters in India later this year.
With an annual production capacity set at 50,000 vehicles at its Tamil Nadu facility, VinFast plans to bolster its presence by increasing its retail and service network to 75 showrooms and 230 workshops nationwide by 2026. The VF MPV 7 boasts a powerful 150 kW powertrain and a remarkable ARAI-certified range of 517 km on a single charge.
