Mumbai Councillor Donates Entire Salary to Mayor's Fund

Mumbai, India – In a remarkable gesture of commitment to public welfare, Municipal Councillor Tajinder Singh Tiwana has vowed to donate his entire salary and allowances for the next five years to the Mayor's Fund. Elected from Ward 47 in the recent Municipal Corporation elections, Tiwana has formally requested Hon'ble Mayor Smt. Ritu Tawde to allocate his earnings toward public welfare initiatives. He emphasized, “Public service is a commitment. As a Nagar Sevak, I am committed to ensuring that support reaches even the most marginalized members of society. This is why I am channeling my earnings to aid the Mayor's Fund.”

The salary and allowances, estimated between ₹25,000-₹35,000 monthly, will be directed to assist those requiring medical aid and facing financial emergencies.
