Cityflo is stepping up to fill the void left by Uber Shuttle's departure in Kolkata, launching a new bus service on April 6. The company plans to introduce around 300 buses, offering a seamless alternative for daily commuters affected by Uber's withdrawal.
According to Cityflo CEO and Co-founder Jerin Venad, the company's decision to accelerate the introduction of services in Kolkata was driven by the need to minimize commuter disruption. The service will cover the same routes previously operated by Uber Shuttle, ensuring a smooth transition for office-goers.
Cityflo intends to expand its operations steadily over the next two months. As the service scales, the focus will be on maintaining reliability and pricing discipline, crucial for long-term success. The company plans to work closely with local operators and build a robust on-ground team to support its ambitions in Kolkata.
