In a strategic leadership transition, Allied Blenders and Distillers Ltd (ABDL) has announced the appointment of Amar Sinha as its new Managing Director, Designate. The decision, effective immediately, was made during a recent board meeting, marking a significant moment for the company's future direction.
Sinha brings over 30 years of robust experience in the alcohol beverage sector, having previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Radico Khaitan. His tenure at ABDL follows Alok Gupta, whose leadership tenure is approaching completion. The Chhabria-family promoted firm, which recently went public, is bolstering its foothold in the premium spirits market.
Non-Executive Chairman Kishore Chhabria expressed gratitude to Gupta for his contributions to governance and the firm's industry standing. He welcomed Sinha, confident in his ability to lead ABDL through its next growth phase, particularly as the company's income from operations saw a 6.2% rise attributed to the thriving Prestige & Above category.
