Emami Expands Beverage Footprint with Full Acquisition of Axiom Ayurveda
Emami Ltd has announced its full acquisition of Axiom Ayurveda, the maker of 'AloFrut' juice, in a deal expected to be worth Rs 200 crore. After initially acquiring a 26% stake in 2023, Emami will now purchase the remaining 73.5% stake, making Axiom a subsidiary. The acquisition aligns with Emami's growth strategy, which focuses on emerging segments such as health foods and beverages.

Emami Ltd, a major player in the FMCG sector, announced plans to acquire the remaining 73.5% stake in Axiom Ayurveda, the company behind 'AloFrut' juice, thus taking full control. This deal, valued at around Rs 200 crore, aims to build Emami's presence in the promising beverage market.
The acquisition is part of Emami's strategic initiative to invest in growth sectors like health foods and nutrition, as it seeks to align with shifting consumer preferences. Emami's earlier acquisition of a 26% equity stake in Axiom was its entry point into the packaged juice sector.
Vice Chairman & MD Harsha Vardhan Agarwal stated that the acquisition would allow the company to leverage Axiom's expertise, supporting Emami's ambition to capitalize on the growing health and wellness trend. Axiom is expected to generate Rs 180 crore in revenue by FY26, strengthening Emami's portfolio.
