The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has entered into a significant partnership with MapmyIndia, formalized on Wednesday, to facilitate the display of certified Aadhaar centres on the Mappls App. This strategic move aims to provide an accurate and convenient digital map for locating service centres across the nation.
Focusing on enhancing public convenience, the Indian Ministry of Electronics & IT highlighted that this collaboration would assist citizens in efficiently navigating existing infrastructure. The initiative aims to curb misinformation and offers seamless access to Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs) and other centres throughout the country.
As stated by Bhuvnesh Kumar, CEO of UIDAI, the collaboration underscores their commitment to being resident-centric. MapmyIndia will integrate verified information provided by UIDAI into their digital platform, ensuring users can easily find authorised Aadhaar centres. This rollout is expected to launch in the coming months, granting users an accurate guide to service locations on the Mappls App.
Rakesh Verma, Co-founder and CMD of MapmyIndia, expressed the company's commitment to improving digital public conveniences in India. The initiative, he noted, would significantly reduce misinformation and provide seamless access to services via trusted, India-built mapping technology. The Mappls App will soon be equipped to lead users to verified Aadhaar service points nationwide.
