Adani Ports Surpasses Landmark 500 Million Tonnes in Cargo Handling

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) achieved a significant milestone on Wednesday by surpassing 500 million tonnes of cargo handled. This accomplishment reflects the company's expansion from a single port in 1998 to a sprawling network of 19 ports and terminals.

Chairman Gautam Adani remarked that this achievement underscores the company's confidence in India's growth and commitment to developing an integrated logistics platform. APSEZ is on track to meet its ambitious goal of handling 1 billion tonnes of cargo by 2030, supported by its expanding port network and logistics capabilities.

APSEZ's growth reinforces its pivotal role in India's trade and infrastructure sector. With a current capacity of 633 million tonnes, the company commands about 28% of India’s port volumes. The milestone reflects the strategic depth and operational excellence driving India's infrastructure transformation.
