Delhi's Electric Bus Revolution: A New Era of Public Transport

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta made significant strides in public transport on Friday by flagging off 300 electric buses, boosting the Delhi Transport Corporation's fleet to 6,100.

Gupta emphasized the government's commitment to reducing DTC losses and improving public transport services.

The administration is focusing on converting the entire DTC fleet to electric vehicles, enhancing last-mile connectivity, and releasing overdue EV subsidies. Expansion of EV charging infrastructure is part of the plan. Additionally, an interstate bus service between Delhi and Ghaziabad was launched, marking a major step forward in the region's transport offerings.

Gupta criticized the prior administration for its lack of effective action, accusing it of prioritizing promises and publicity over real work.
