Paris Court Upholds Shein's Marketplace Victory

A Paris Court of Appeal rejected the French government's attempt to suspend Shein's online marketplace. This marks a victory for Shein, whose platform was under fire for selling controversial products, including sex dolls resembling children and banned weapons.

Previously, a December court ruling had opposed government efforts to halt Shein's marketplace operations for three months. The appeal court supported the earlier decision but stressed that Shein must ensure age verification for specific products.

Shein states it has enhanced marketplace controls and is working with French and European authorities. The French government, however, continues to apply pressure, highlighting concerns over unfair pricing competition with European retailers.
