Green Light for High-Speed Corridor: Boosting Connectivity in Madhya Pradesh

In a significant move to bolster infrastructure, the Cabinet has sanctioned the four-laning of part of the Delhi-Mumbai expressway in Madhya Pradesh, an operation valued at Rs 3,839.42 crore. This development promises enhanced connectivity from Ujjain to the Timrawani interchange, aiming to cut travel time and improve safety.

The corridor spans 80.45 kilometers, upgrading the Badnawar-Petlawad-Thandla-Timarwani section of NH-752D. It is set to complete within 24 months and deliver a speed boost to 80-100 kmph. Previously, the Ujjain–Badnawar section had been expanded, and now, the entire stretch will provide uninterrupted four-lane access.

This project is pivotal, especially for facilitating traffic from Gujarat and Maharashtra, and addressing surges during the Simhastha Kumbh Mela in 2028. Beyond easing travel and reducing costs, it is poised to spur economic growth in the Dhar and Jhabua districts, according to official sources.
