On March 1, 2026, Pune came alive with the vibrant spirit of the third edition of the Pune City Marathon, an event that brought together over 15,000 participants. The marathon celebrated community unity, health, and environmental responsibility, attracting families, first-time runners, and seasoned athletes alike.
The marathon, themed "Bolder, Bigger, and Better," was organized by The Poona Club Ltd. in conjunction with Fitforce Events. It featured four race categories and was graced by eminent personalities including Vivek R. Wadekar, Chief Commissioner of the Income Tax Department, and other dignitaries who flagged off the races.
Furthermore, the involvement of VIBGYOR Group of Schools as the Gold Sponsor highlighted the educational institution's commitment to holistic development and community engagement. The event's success was further amplified with support initiatives for social causes, encompassing education, environmental efforts, and inclusivity.
