In a significant move to honor International Women's Day, Air India took to the skies with nine flights manned by women crew in the cockpit this past Sunday.
The airline connected major international and domestic routes, such as London Heathrow, New Delhi, and Mumbai, with these special flights.
Each flight was meticulously handled by all-women teams, encompassing pilots, cabin crew, roster planning analysts, rostering personnel, flight dispatchers, and flight controllers, underscoring the vital role women play within Air India, where they constitute nearly half of the workforce and 16 percent of pilots.
