Amidst rising tensions in West Asia, Kolkata airport experienced both routine and disruption in its flight operations. On Saturday, a flydubai flight arrived punctually from Dubai with 163 passengers, maintaining its outbound service back to Dubai with 92 travelers onboard.
The aviation scene also saw a Qatar Airways flight depart Kolkata for Jeddah on schedule, while Emirates Airlines confirmed that its services on the Dubai-Kolkata-Dubai route would remain uninterrupted on the same day, with arrivals and departures as planned.
However, the network was not entirely insulated from disturbances. On Friday, a total of seven international flights from Kolkata to various Gulf countries were cancelled, reflecting the impact of the West Asian conflict on global travel connections.
