Boosting Assam: Modi Inaugurates Pivotal Infrastructure Projects Ahead of Elections

In a significant development for Assam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated pivotal infrastructure projects, including a bridge over the Brahmaputra River, an Indian Institute of Management (IIM), and a data center. The initiatives are poised to transform regional connectivity, education, and digital infrastructure.

The six-lane Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu bridge, spanning 7.75 kilometers, was a highlight of the visit, promising to reduce travel time between Guwahati and North Guwahati to seven minutes. The project, costing approximately Rs 3,030 crore, features advanced structural and safety technologies.

In addition to infrastructure advancements, a new data center and electric buses were launched in efforts aligned with the Digital India vision, enhancing the region's digital infrastructure and public transport services. These initiatives are expected to provide substantial benefits to over 50 lakh citizens.
