Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has taken a firm stance amidst criticism of his participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. His wife, Amruta Fadnavis, countered negative remarks by Shiv Sena-UBT MP Sanjay Raut.

Speaking to reporters, Amruta emphasized that her husband's trip is far from a leisure venture. She highlighted his intensive schedule, involving conferences and meetings from early morning to late night, all aimed at attracting investment and boosting employment for India and Maharashtra.

Amruta further stated that the WEF serves as a crucial platform for global dialogue and business prospects, reinforcing the importance of state leaders' presence. Meanwhile, Raut has called for transparency regarding the travel costs of attendees and dismissed the conference's relevance from an Indian viewpoint.
