Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended an invitation to investors to partake in the state's ambitious port-led economic transformation at the India Maritime Week 2025 in Mumbai. Highlighting Odisha's strategic role in India's eastern maritime resurgence, Majhi underscored the state's commitment to fostering a robust port-based economy.

The event, graced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, saw the signing of seven memorandums of understanding worth Rs 50,000 crore. These include plans for a Satellite Major Port at Bahuda Muhana and a National Mega Ship Building Cluster, indicating substantial investment in Odisha's maritime infrastructure.

Status as a maritime hub was reinforced, with Majhi emphasizing Odisha’s pivotal position on India’s eastern coast, aimed at becoming a cornerstone of India's trade, industry, and employment sectors over the next 25 years. Majhi engaged with international investors, promoting Odisha’s vast coastline and development plans as integral to future maritime trade advancements.
