In a heated altercation over parking privileges, 30 autorickshaws suffered damage as two groups of drivers clashed in Thane's Kashigaon locality, according to police sources on Wednesday.
The fracas on Tuesday culminated in a legal action against 15 individuals, five of whom have been detained on charges of rioting.
No injuries were reported, though tensions flared. The police conducted a precautionary route march in the area to maintain peace, keeping the situation under control.
