In an unexpected turn of events, a UAV prototype from LAT Aerospace crashed into a field near Nandpur village following a test flight that went awry on Friday evening. The unmanned vehicle developed a mechanical snag, losing control before hitting the ground.
Officials confirmed the test flight, conducted with prior approval from the Civil Aviation Department, encountered technical difficulties leading to the incident. Despite the dramatic crash, no injuries or damages to crops were reported at the scene.
LAT Aerospace promptly issued a statement, explaining that the crash during a ground roll test was influenced by strong winds. They assured full compensation to the affected farmer, maintaining the incident posed no threat to public safety.
