At the AI Impact Summit 2026, technology industry leaders have a strong message: remain calm and focus on upskilling as artificial intelligence (AI) continues to reshape the job market. Speakers highlighted the importance of lifelong learning to adapt to the shifting landscape.
During the session titled 'The Future of Employability in the Age of AI,' experts discussed the dual impact of AI on employment. Although some jobs may become obsolete, AI is also expected to generate new opportunities, demanding new skillsets from the workforce.
Sanjeev Bikhchandani, the Founder of Info Edge, used the introduction of computers in banking as a positive example of technology adoption, while EdgeVerve CEO Sateesh Seetharamiah and Sampark Founder Chairman Vineet Nayar echoed calls for embracing AI tools. They emphasized that while AI will change the nature of jobs, it will not eliminate the need for human oversight and creativity.
