NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), part of the Department of Space, has inked a deal with Bengaluru's space tech firm GalaxEye to commercially distribute its satellite imagery products. These products, such as SyncFused OptoSAR data, target sectors like agriculture and disaster management, officials revealed on Saturday.
Suyash Singh, co-founder and CEO of GalaxEye Space, highlights the strategic importance of the collaboration in extending advanced Earth observation capabilities to more users and contributing to India's developmental priorities. The partnership is a historic first for an Indian private satellite operator with NSIL.
The agreement not only showcases commercial synergy but also aligns with India's space policy by bridging the gap between government agencies and private firms to boost innovation and sustainable growth in the space sector.
