Pramod Bhagat's Historic Gold Streak at BWF Para World Championships

Pramod Bhagat secured his sixth career world title at the BWF Para World Championships, triumphing in the men's SL3 category with a resounding win over Indonesia's Muhammad Al Imran. Bhagat, who developed polio in childhood, captured the gold with a 21-12, 21-18 victory in the finals.

This victory further cements Bhagat's legacy in para-badminton, making him the most decorated singles champion across world championships, surpassing Lin Dan's record. Coming back strong after an 18-month suspension for a doping rule infraction, Bhagat's achievements underscore his dominance and resilience.

Alongside Sukant Kadam, Bhagat also claimed victory in the men's doubles SL3-SL4, defeating fellow Indians J. Dilli and N. Sivakumar. The victory contributes to Bhagat's concrete return to form, making headlines in the sports community as India's top badminton talent.
