Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu has set an ambitious target to make India the third-largest drone market globally by the year 2030. During a meeting focused on drone research and development, the minister reviewed the progress of indigenous manufacturing and technological advancements within the sector.

According to a release from the minister's office, Naidu emphasized that the development of indigenous technology is essential to achieving this target. The review meeting examined the current challenges and emerging opportunities in drone R&D and component manufacturing.

Naidu reiterated that making India a top global drone market is more than just a dream—it's a definitive goal. His office confirmed that efforts are centered on overcoming obstacles in technology and manufacturing to realize these aspirations.
