Karnataka's Quantum City Attracts Swiss Research Collaborations

Swiss corporations and leading research institutions have expressed keen interest in partnering on the 'Quantum City' project in Bengaluru, Karnataka Minister for Science and Technology N S Boseraju announced on Wednesday.

The Karnataka government, seeking to make Bengaluru an international hub for quantum technology, has allocated over 6 acres in Hesaraghatta for the ambitious venture. The 'Quantum City' will boast advanced laboratories, start-up incubation spaces, and facilities to foster collaboration between academia and industry.

Boseraju emphasized the state's commitment to developing skilled talent and a research-friendly environment, supported by collaborations with global entities. During a visit to Switzerland, the state's delegation successfully showcased investment prospects at the 'Swissnex Quantum Summit', reinforcing Karnataka's appeal as a destination for international quantum tech investment.
